hey guys im looking at a 03 cobra right now and i am kind of hesitant with the buy.. i wanted to know if there are any good local shops in the east bay area or surrounding areas that could do a pre-purchase inspection and to also do a compression test, also if you guys know of any good local auto body / paint shops who could paint quarter panels at a good rate and do a good job! i would appreciate any help!

call up ford and see how much they charge for a pre-purchase inspection. i'm sure they will be more thorough than most shops. i'm guessing it's around $300 or so. i got quote $349 for a porsche boxster last month at a porsche dealership so ford should be around the same price or less.

check out california reflections in livermore. they do good work there. their prices is a little above average, but their paint work is good. if money is not an issue, there's troy's autobody in tracy. they're very expensive, but their work is great. i'm not sure what kind of quality you're after so what i suggested is like the mid and high grade of shops. i can suggest some smaller shops too that will be cheaper.
