Vert motor is not working, is there a way to drop the top manually?

Also, does anyone know any shops that are reputable to install a new top?

The top needs replacing itself, and the motor doesn't work. It's a 92' LX.

Me and my dad unhinged the front and slowly pushed it back, but once the front part of the top got vertical it didn't want to go the rest of the way down, and I don't believe the top mechanism is bent or anything...

Is there anything in the rear of the top that needs to be undone etc. to allow the top to retract?
