ok my car has always had this problem. But it isn't constant sometimes when i shift and put the clutch in the rpms will jump to 3k wtf could it be anyone help me out?

The IAC might be sticking. Unplug it and see if it still happens. Adjust your idle with the car warmed up and unplug the IAC (Idle Air Control, aka idle air bypass. Adjust the idle so it is a hundred or so less rpm than normal. It should just barely idle with it unplugged and then the computer will take over when it is plugged in and will be able to control the idle speed. 3k is crazy though. I don't think my IAC can even get my motor over 2000rpm when it was at 100% dutycycle.

It sounds more like your throttle is sticking.

ive been havin the same prob and ive still neva solved it and ive changed the iac and replaced the tb let me know if you solve the prob

theres a sensor on the trans, i think is your problem

which sensor are you reffering too? just so i know and do you have it @ ya shop by anychance?
