I have used 3M ribbon sealer before with excellent results.
im sure theres some type of factory sealer that out, thats sole purpose is for tail lights, but ribbon sealer worked great for me

I had used left over of car window silicone & works great blends in with the housing

Silicone, or any construction adhesive. Got it on mines! Looks fine can't tell and harder for people to steal like my last ones
