Tubular GT-40 is better.. especailly when the lower is ported. However the explorer intakes can be had for a song.
The aluminum GT40s are best. The GT40ps are supposted to flow more than the regular GT40 irons and can be had at most junk yards. The P's require special headers (mac makes them) to clear the spark plugs.

Actually the Cobra, Explorer and tubular uppers all flow about the same.
