yea they will work on your stock 302motor but you will need the ford explore headers. and yea they do flow better then the stock heads. but thats a budget build. save your bread and get some real heads and headers.

ride in a stang that has HCI and you will see what im talking about. good luck [burnout]

Here is a good compare of the flow numbers for various heads

http://mustangforums.com/forum/attachments/5-0-mustang/5395d1227847280-flow-numbers-for-gt40-heads-and-gt40p-headcompare.jpg

GT40Ps are a good budget head especially if ported. MAC makes a set of headers for them.

However, they are limited. Pickup last month's MM&FF. There is a good article on a car with GT40P heads and some bolt on's with dyno numbers.

Why would you want to go to all the trouble of upgrading heads and put the stock headers back on? Its like putting an aftermarket throttle body on a stock intake with a stock mass air sensor..... pointless. If your looking for a little more kick throw in some 3.73's and you'll feel more of a gain than with these heads.

it's okay to do things backwards thats how we all learn i no i did. asskickn88 is right on the money. putting on upgraded performance parts with stock parts waste of time and money. after johnb threw in my 373's felt like i was in a now 5.0. these guys on here no there stuff. save your bread for the hci.
