My mother-in-law gave us her '93 Crown Vic, and I need to get it smogged, but I've got a CEL on. Is this an automatic fail? It's been at least 8 years since I've had to smog a car and for the life of me, I can't remember all the rules.

Anyway, when I pull the codes, here's what I get:

176 HEGO (HO2S) sensor fault/always lean
332 Insufficient EGR flow detected
337 EGR sensor circuit above maximum voltage

I'm guessing the EGR probably needs to be replaced judging by the 332 and 337 codes? I'm also guessing that I'm getting the 176 code because the engine is leaning out due to the faulty EGR valve?

reads like the EGR sensor has a broken/torn/missing gasket or is stuck open, causing a lean condition.

CEL on = fail.
