I have a 93 ford mustang gt with bbk headers n x-pipe
My question is if I get a 70mm throttle body will that affect my smog performance ? If yes, how ? Is it a big difference in performance also ?

if they see it they might not smog it. They are pretty strict. Just had mine done on FRIDAY. he almost wouldnt do it because of msd cap/coil and Ford racing wires. I told him they were stock on a cobra. ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif) they even check your timing.

edelbrock 65mm t/b would fit your combo better, and has a CARB # stamped right on it so it's CA legal for smog.

i notice ur in sac go to the smog spot on florin right by the i hop and that chinnse cusine. swap a stock h pipe on so it can breathe clean but the guys dont care about mods as long as it passes the sniffer. dude even bumped my timing down so it wud pass my car is lightly moded with eddie rpm upper/ lower 65tb, cai, 73mm mass air, bbk headers, ac delete. only thing i did was put a bigger belt cus my smog pump bypassed and throw my stoch H.

If you have a stock intake don't bother changing the TB. It won't gain you anything. Next up I would get a Cobra, GT40, or TFS intake with a 65mm TB.
