The f cam with the 1.7 will put u at about the same lift as the other cam..I ran a e cam with 1.7 and had no issues with ptv clearence..juss make sure you ckeck it..and I'm guessing with that setup you should make like 220-230 to the wheels

run a stock cam w/ 1.6s. big cams are over rated.
i run the tfs 1 in my 331 and make 340 at the wheels. I know if i had a bigger cam i would make more, but it would suck to drive.
In reality of you did that set up your would have no brakes under 2000-2500 rpms.

Says the guy with a TFS 1 cam.
The cam in my 93 is MUCH larger in both duration and lift than what you've listed JaeJae..and it's got brakes for DAYS. It's all about the install and the rest of the combo. Run a E cam with 1.7s or a F cam and have fun. A set of GT40's and that cam, you'll have problems...the biggest being coil bind and valvetrain issues.

so which one would net the most gains f cam or the e? i may get the heads milled down so i wnt lose to much compression..how much would i be able to get the milled down without runing into piston to valve problems?..and which cam is more nitrous friendly?

Id run the stock HO cam and some 1.72s on it.
Run pretty good that way.
I have seen stock head combos make 227 to the wheels so I dont see gt40 headed combo making less than that, when setup right.

my 306 with stock intake, tb,and heads not sure of the cam but smog legal and mild. It had 1.7rr. Ford Motorsport pullies on the crank and waterpump. Stock headers as well. K/N filter. I had 19# injectors. All added up to 225 to the wheels. 265 at the crank. Needed a tuneup and the distributor was on its way out. U should do better than those numbers with your combo.
