Anyone know how much power and torque the a-trim adds to a stock 5.0? The actual power not the claimed power from vortecht

A trim is only 5psi isn't it?

At it's peak, MAYBE 75hp. Sell the head unit, keep the brackets and find a S-trim.

Yea its 5-6 psi

Could a stock motor handle a s-trim that? Just has a e303 full exhaust and 255 fp

I'm in that same situation I have a high mileage motor and a whole s trim kit. I am going to just rebuild my motor then put the s/c.

like john B said around 75hp/60TQ....

upgrade to an S-trim for a lot more

Cool thanks one more thing a friend of mine sent is a-trim back to vortech and they upgraded everything to s-trim standards is good to do that or just find a s-trim head unit?

You answered your own question. An A-trim upgraded to a S-trim IS a S-trim.

This is a good upgrade. As John mentions, it will be a true S-trim after that and capable of putting out more boost. You will need to make sure to use a bypass valve and also upgrade your fuel system appropriately if you crank up the boost. The a-trim kit doesn't come with most of those components.
