I ask this question because I found an article at the following link: 302 Stock with 400HP

Has anyone else had this good of success with other heads or tried this same setup? Would EFI produce similar results? My guess would be a little less due to smog equipment and other accessories.

What do you think?

AFR 165 heads are really good. 400hp seems like a lot to get out of a stock 302 w/ EFI. I guess it depends on what the rest of the combo is.

What are you planning on running the heads on?

Well that's just it. I just purchased a 331 motor with Edelbrock heads. They are really nice heads and I will probably stick with them.

I just thought I would see what other might have said about this article. See if anyone has used them.

Thanks for the reply.

You think that was awesome, check out the AFR website and click on the article links. They are getting blown/NOS numbers out of NA engines.

I was fully impressed with this company.

Were those #rwhp? It does not say whether or not they were. Not to mention they put a carb on the car vs a regular stock or aftermarket EFI one that makes a BIG difference right there

after re-reading the article it says they used an engine dyno. That means the engine was never in the car for the tests. I think their is usually a 20% drivetrain loss of power one then engine is in the car. That means the rwhp would be around 315-320
