This is the first time I am doing this, I was just wondering if anyone could help me out by telling me the steps.

I recently had the same problem but decided to just change the whole rack since a reman is only $80 and takes a couple hours to swap.

sound easy but right now i have a pretty tight budget and my friend dat works at napa hooked it up so dats y.

remove tie rod, clip off clamp and remove.

I tried it but its is a bitch to remove the tie rod any hints??

to remove the tie rod it just unscrews. to free the tie rod end from the spindle/ caliper bracket wack the bracket with a hammer to jar it loose and free it

Ya its a lot easier than changing the rack u just have to use something that can back that lock nut off
