just pulled a code from my car with the code p0340. the obd II list has it as (P0340 Camshaft Position Sensor circuit fault)i cant seem to find my alldata program to look up the exact meaning. anyone know what it means and what the severtity of it is? and how to fix it?

the cam position sensor is a sensor that sits in the front of the timing cover behind the power steering reservoir.

if the code was in continuous memory, the PCM noted a fault at some point in time.. if it was an on demand code its happening right now..

code went away on its own. i wiggled teh switch a lil bit. hopin it stays off
