Almost anything at this point would help. Start with exhaust and intake mods. Gears make a world of difference. Just keep your eye on here and all the parts you'll ever need pop up, most at a decent price.

this guy is tryin to sell me a cobra manifold with 65 bbk throttle body, spacer and i think 30 pound injectors, he said he will throw in the bbk cold air intake with maf all for 400$ so i might get that. i have flowmasters with 3" turndowns also.i have a 5 speed so idk if i should go with 3.73 gears or 4.10? also, wat kind of clutch should i go with? and is a alimunum driveline worth it?what kind of heads and headers do u guys recommend me.i know sounds like im dumb but im just trying to make my car fast, but im not trying to spend my money on dumb shit.thanx for the help!

With a Fox body and a 5 speed I'd go with 3.73's for sure. They kill a little bit of your mileage but worth the kick in the ass on take off. The deal on that intake stuff sound decent and should make a good boost in power over stock. Heads depend on how much you want to spend. AFR's are good but cost, you can get Twisted Wedges for a decent price and they too are good or you can go with some Edelbrocks. I have some Performers that are ported and should make good power, they come up for sale often here and can be had fairly cheap. For headers I've just started looking at the difference in the quality. The Mac headers are cheap and have a lot of restrictions compared to the Motorsport or Bassani that I have but I've done some work to make a pair of Mac's look as nice inside as more expensive headers. If you have the know how to do it yourself I'd go with the less expensive ones and do a bit of work to make them better. I was thinking about upgrading my heads while the motor was out but just ended up doing the port work myself and I think they came out good, should flow well..... I hope anyway. If your unsure just post up what your looking to get and we'll post our assholes.... I mean opinions up about your pending deal. [Big Grin] Good luck! [patriot]

I can vouch for the gt40X heads I put a gt40 crate motor with the B cam in a friends 86 and was quite impressed for a 3300$ crate motor, I'm fairly certain I was doing over 170 on I-5 in overdrive at 6500 rpm with 3.08 gears and above 4000 rpm it really screamed although next time I would pick a different cam or a better gear ratio.( it got really fun when it started shaking and the dash pad flew off lol)

I think the best bang for the buck are going to be the Edelbrock Performers. I've seen them posted for about the same price as the GT40X heads and the Performers make more power out of the box. I'd do mass air when you actually get the heads and intake, it wont make any difference right now.

don't forget gears gears gears I swapped 4.10's in my 01 gt and gained 4/10's of a sec, best improvement per dollar cuz I put them in myself only cost 300$ 200 for gears and 100$ for install kit, get ford racing gears because I've set up 3 8.8's and the frpp gears always set up right the first time. I went 4.10's because the 4.6 dosen't make torque like the 302, I agree the 3.73 is better for your application.
