so to make a long story short i am doing a cobra disc brake concersion on my 92 couope and its all together and the car stops but i have a really hard pedal feel and the car is not brakeing like it should. its actually brakeing worse then stock. this is waht i used for the conversion 94 cobra brakes front and rear(rebuilt them myself). 95 brake booster and master cylinder and the maximum motorsport 3to 2 port conversion on the master cylinder. i also have a willwood porptioning valve for the rear and i gutted the stock portioning valve. it seems like i have done everyhing correctly but the car has a real hard pedal. PLEASE i have been going through this for months now. you can call me if its easier. 510 760 0252 jay

I'm having the "hard pedal" issue with my Taurus. It does stop, but you have to practically stand on the brake pedal and only then does it very very grdually slow down.

I haven't had my Taurus on the road because it isn't wanting to stop at idle speeds, couldn't imagine trying to stop from 30+mph.

Some things I've been told is to check the vaccuum lines and brake booster may be bad. Should be easy for you to get a vacuum diagram for your car, mine on the other-hand. So far impossible.

Good luck dude, just go through and check all your connections, vacuum lines, bleed the brakes. If all that checks out, you may need a new booster.

how much vacuum do you have at idle?

and the sn95 booster/mc setup will have a harder pedal than the 93 cobra booster/mc.

I have the 93 cobra stuff in my notch and the pedal feels perfect IMO.
