I'm thinking about looking for a '56 Crown Vic and I was wondering what issues I should consider in my search as well as ownership of a car like this. I'd want a '56 for the 12v electricals. I'd be looking for a high quality driver - no basket cases or unfinished projects.

Sounds like a nice project to start with but this might be the wrong board to look to for help finding this type of car or parts for it...... its called CA Fords but 99.9% late model Mustangs here.

It's time for the country to do what Obama's own father did. Abandon him.

Some of us represent the classics.
But 56 is before my range of experience. I didn't even know they had crown vics back then!

Yeah, the best thing to do is get on a Crown Vic board and do some research there.
I would say the biggest issue could have is finding parts. Also, another one is rust. Make sure you know where to look for it
Good luck
