My battery died the other night so I threw in a new one. Now my alarm doesn't work, it's a Clifford Tazor 2. I looked around online for an owner's manual, but it doesn't say anything about resetting it. If I push the arm/disarm button, nothing happens, but the light on the dash for the alarm comes on. I try to disarm the alarm, but it doesn't work - so I just open the door with the key and the alarm goes off. If I get in, start the car, flick the valet switch, then the siren finally goes off. Any ideas?

There are a few things to try...

First: disconnect the battery, put the key in the ignition and turn it to on (if the battery was connected the dash warning lights would be lit), now connect the battery. The alarm will not arm because it sees the ignition power on as the battery is re-connected.

Now turn the ignition off, take the keys out and close the car door. Try to arm it with the remote now.

If it doesn't arm, try this with keys in hand (not in ignition) and all doors closed....

Press and hold the arm button on the remote till you hear/see the alarm confirm it is armed. Now press the disarm button on the remote and the alarm should disarm. By pressing and hold the arm button till you hear a confirmation - you just re-synced the alarm and remote code (ACG).

One of those two should reset both the alarm and remote.
