Sac will let you run w/o a bar for basically as long as you want. A customer of ours has been out running his KB'd 03 Vert for months in the low/mid 11's at 125+ mph with hardly a word said about a roll bar.

However, he did just have a custom bar installed, but it was at his own discretion.

To answer you question, to be legal to run down to a 11.50 you will need at very least a 5 point bar, main hoop, two rear bars and one driver side forward bar, (yes I know everyone just goes for the six point and adds the passenger forward bar but its not required at this point. To run faster than 11.50 legally, you will need a much more extensive setup.

Personally, I would just go run the thing and not worry about, but then on the other hand, I don't have a bar in my 10 second car either. [Razz]

If you are thinking about putting
in a roll bar in a convertible,
go with a Griggs Racing weld
in roll bar kit. I welded in
a Griggs roll bar kit in my
01 Cobra and I think it is way
better than a bolt on Autopower
or MM unit. If you ever decide to
open track your convertible, then a
roll bar is a must.

That roll bar is not "legal." Not even for a 13.4
