Well I twisted off the input shaft on my 3550. I pulled the tranny out and started to remove the shaft collar around the input shaft. Well here is my problem. I heard that you just pull that out and and slap a new one in. Two things. One is how many of those long Bearings are there suppose to be and also am I gona have to remove the bearing that is around the input shaft and then have it re-set on to the new shaft? Any help on this will be greatly appreciated!

Don't quote me,but I think there is 17-18 of the bearings.
And yes, if there isn't a bearing on the new shaft it will need to be swapped over.

Yeah I pretty much figured the bearing on the shaft should be swapped, but I just wanted somebody to back me up on that. Also am I suppose to just use some grease or something like that to keep those bearings in place when I re-intall the shaft?
