remove the armrest, pull the shifter bezel off, remove the center console top plate, remove the knee panel and glove box, remove the center console.
to remove the dash: pull off the dash speaker covers pull off the defrost vent cover under the windshield remove the instrument cluster remove the HVAC control panel take off the steering column cover remove the kick panels unbolt the dash from the dash hull
it'll look like this when you're done

The center consol comes off in three peices.
I remove the center armrest first. Pop off the two oval covers on the rear of the armrest base. Inside you'll see two bolts on each side (total 4 bolts) that need to be removed. After you take those bolts out you can lift off the center armrest. Then you'll see two screws holding down the rear of the center consol from to a black metal plate under where the armrest was. Remove those two screws.
Pop off the shifer plate and you'll see two more screws that need to be removed. You should be able to lift of the middle portion of the center consol. Remember to unplug the mirror controls and cig lighter.
There are the 4 screws you already know about and up front up behind where the radio is there are a couple more screws holding in the consol frame to a metal braket. These are what might be holding you up.
For the front dash take the 10 extra min. to remove the front seats as this will make the dash removal much easier. There are a number of screws holding it in and two major bolts one on each side. And there is on sneaky bolt under the dash on the passenger side up by the firewall. If the dash isn't coming out you haven't removed everything.
