Im wanting to put a wet nitrous system on my car.Thing is ive got hypereutectic pistons and i know they wont take too much N2o or boost.Ive heard of people safely using nitrous on these pistons before though.Im thinking of putting the 100hp jets in my kit,it goes up to 250.You guys think id be alright?Could i put more than 100 in?The cars running better than 13 oh's(dont wanna give away the exact ET pubicly, lol )right now on the motor.

I don't know a lot about NOS but one big factor is the condition of the motor. How many miles are on it? I would do a compression check and make sure the motor is in good shape.

I would think the 100 shot would be okay if used sparringly, if you use it too often I'm sure it would do something bad. Nitrous is good about burning up pistons.

I just built the motor about 4 months ago.

BAH,
retard the timing to 8*, gap the plugs at 0.037", use quality 91 octane, and let the 150 shot RIP!

As long as you avoid detonation, you can run whatever HP shot you want.
Running 1 step colder plugs, 93 octane pump gas (maybe with a little octane booster or its equivalent), basement timing and stockish fuel pressure will all help ensure you don't break anything when squeezing.
Start at 100 (safe). If you want to go more, do it in the smallest incriments possible WHILE adjusting everything else at the same time.
Truly, it's about the fine tuning at the track.

When i built the motor it was a total low budget build. If i had the funds at the time i wouldve used forged pistons.I wasnt even considering using nitrous. But i just came up on a killer deal on a nitrous kit and a certain GTO with long tubes,gears,6 speed, and an intake(that ive been picking on )just put a 75 shot on hoping that'll get him by me.But ive got an ace in my deck he dont know about(my nitrous kit).So thats why i wanna use it.
