Ok. So... I finished rebuilding my car (engine mostly) and when I went to drive it I noticed that I had no brake lights. I went to the fuse box and saw that the fuse was blown, so I replaced it....Easy enough, but when I applied the brakes again the fuse blew. I traced the wires back from the brake light assembly to the fuse box and then to the brake pedal and none of the wiring appeared to be damaged or exposed. I did however notice that the LockTronics system was spliced into the brake pedal wire (Lime Green/Red) so I disconnected that and tried it again..It blew. I then put a 20amp fuse in its place to see if that worked....well it did, for about a minute and I noticed that when I depress the brake pedal the fuse got red hot and then blew. Now I am really frustrated and have no idea where this surge of power is coming from. Can anyone help me out.

UPDATE: So I disconnected the brake sensor thing and checked to see if I was getting any power from it and I got nothing from the terminals. I went to the local junk yard and checked another mustang and I got the same thing, so does that mean that they were BOTH shit or am I just not supposed to get a reading?!?!????

UPDATE: OK. I went to Autozone and got a new brake switch, installed it and nothing, so I thought Maybe I should reconnect this Locktronics wire....I did and WOW the brake lights came on. So..I thought all was well. I put the fuse box back in place and put the paneling back on and now the fuse keeps blowing when I apply brake pressure...WTF!!! Anyone here know what I should o next?!?!?!

How do you check the grounds in that mess of wiring. I checked all the wires that were screwed into the body and those are all good. Could it be one of the wires that goes to the starter cylenoid???
