i am thinking of buying an 03/04 cobra and with the money bein tight after that i wouldn't be modding it to much:( so the question is how much power can the rear end handle on the drags strip. mods will be light if any but still scared of the irs

Avoid wheel hop and you will be ok, invest in a IRS brace and maybe some sticky tires for the summer time. Wheel hop is what kills the IRS and the half shafts. Are you going to be taking it to the track alot?
