ok.. i just finished my disk brake conversion on my 91 coupe. i checked for leaks and everything was good. soft line are connected to hard lines in front and rear....proportioning valve is turned all the way to increase i got mc and brake booster from 95, combination valve hooked up. now when i started to bleed the brakes..there wasn't pressure coming from the rear brakes...my front brakes were bleeding fine . so my question is why aren't my rear brakes getting any pressure?

Did you remove the internals from the stock metering valve and install the 93 Cobra R plug in it's place? If not, you're wasting your time trying to bleed them.

are you using a pressure bleeder?

when I had a problem bleeding my rears it turned out I had mounted the front calipers on the wrong sides, so they were trapping air [Frown]

you need a pressure bleeder or a vacume bleeder, or it will take you 5 million pumps of the brake pedal to bleed them.

my pressure bleeder was $50, I ordered it online.

and harbor freight sells mitivac vacume bleeders for about $30 if I remember right.

I did some googling for you, and came up with this:

http://www.bmw-m.net/TechProc/bleeder.htm

dude made his own pressure bleeder out of a weed killer sprayer, I didn't even think of that!

the bottle and bleeder he bought/converted looks EXACTLY like the Motive brake bleeder I paid $50 for [Frown]

 -
weed sprayer bleeder ^

 -
motive bleeder
