I have a 92 coupe 4cylinder that I converted to a v8 5-speed car but it wont stay on. When I turn the key all the way to the start position I can hear the fuel pump prime but when i start it and let the key go to the run position it will die out. If I start it and i keep turning the key to the start position and keep priming fuel into the engine it will stay on. So im woundering if my injectors aren't doing there job or the fuel pump is turning off when I let the key go. This is starting to frustrate me [Mad] so I would greatly appriciate any help and advise you guys can give me. Thanks

sounds like when key goes back to run you are loosing the power to the fuel pump relay. you can put key in run pos with car off and see if you get power, that just the first thing that came to my mind.

Sounds like a tough one. The igition switch tells the EEC to turn on the fuel pump relay. I bet you have something not wired right after the V8 swap. You can always run a positive wire to the fuel pump relay and manually keep it turned on just to verify the pump shutting off is your problem. I bet something isn't telling the EEC that the motor is spinning so the EEC shuts off the fuel pump.
