Author Topic: which combo will make more power 50 Deep Jockin 03 Cobras Member # 6216 posted                                 Ok fellas i have 2 seperate set ups that i want to run and im looking to get some input from some of you fellas with more experience and knowledge then i posess. it deals with my fox body 5.0 and my 4.6 cobra. and im wondering which powerplant will produce better results with the list of mods i give. im trying to decide which motor will give me the most power, reliability, and longevity with both being N/A. and of course i want to know that if i were to line both of these cars up side by side on the track and run em which would win. any opinons from those with experience would be greatly appreciated 5.0 -cai -70mm mass air meter -19lbs injectors -pulleys -70mm tb & spacer -edelbrock performer heads, manifold, cam -jba shorty headers -bbk x-pipe with cats -magnaflow catback -3.73 gears -stock bottom end cobra -bbk cai -87mm pro-m mass air -24# injectors -62mm twin tb -pulleys -jba shorty headers -SLP x-pipe w/cats and catback -3.90 gears (maybe 4.10 not sure yet) -stock 4v head, cams, manifold -sct tune [ March 07, 2006, 07:52 PM: Message edited by: 50 Deep ] -------------------- Signature Wheel Ford Representative Email: Terrance@Signaturewheel.com Instagram: @Signature_Wheel_Mustang Web: www.SignatureWheel.com Posts: 6043 | From: sacramento | Registered: Nov 2005  |  : Luke87GT Lay'n more stripes than Caltrans Member # 21 posted                              They'll both put down around 285-290rwhp imho. The 5.0 will have a higher peak torque (although it will happen lower at around 3500rpm). IT'S ALL ABOUT THE HEADS!!!!! AFR165's, Twisted Wedge, or even better AFR165 Comp or Twisted Wedge CNC. Seriously- why bother with the Edelbrock heads if you plan on buying aluminum aftermarket heads?? Get the best head you can and it will rock. How about 300+rwhp w/ Cobra intake and STOCK cam?
