hey paulo said that the negative on the solenoid has to be grounded, so the yellow one needs to connect to the acctuall full throttle switch. Oh and thank u for posting this for me, hey post some pics of your car with my back rims

bypass the window switch and make sure the system works without first. Lay out how you have everything wired.

he he.. i drew that diagram.. i'll see the car tonight. i really don't know how his nitrous system is set up to begin with. i remember looking at it for reference when i did mine, but i just ended up wiring mine differently. Thanks for the tips. we'll bypass the window switch and draw the whole thing out.

You'll have to use a tahc signal off ONE of the coils....think number #1 would be fine....a lot of guys have this problem....you'll get the proper tach signal to know when the system turns on and off

99 and up cars need a tach adapter to get a tach signal. the tach runs off a coil trigger wire (pn#34) located in the computers wiring harness on the passenger side fender in the engine compartment.

Everything in the picture looks fine. Test to see if the window switch is getting 12V. Next use a wire to give the yellow window switch wire 12v to see if it turns on (forgot if you have to ground the yellow wire or give it 12v). Next I'd make sure you tapped the right wire on the tach adaper. Maybe you got the wrong wire or your splice didn't make a connection.

hmmm i suppose that would work, but I have mine setup with a wide open throttle switch. The yellow wire from the window switch grounds the WOT switch and completes the circuit when in the defined rpm range. I suppose you could run a WOT switch and let the window switch ground the solenoids - but solenoids pull quite a bit of amps so you must run a relay. Are you?
Seems to me you may not have the solenoids, relay, window switch wired correctly.
An easy test would be to get your volt meter, run 12V to the red lead, connect your yellow wire to the ground lead. Rev the motor into the RPM range and see if it comes on. Now you know the window switch and tach adapt are ok and your problem is in the solenoid wiring. [ February 18, 2006, 11:44 AM: Message edited by: 67stang ]

yeah.. there are two thread going on about similar issues. one is mine, but that one has been figured out. i'm running a relay and will be mounting it the yellow wire to the ground on the wot. .. my buddy has no relay.. i have no idea how his set up is done. thanks. we'll test the tach.. cuase he might be be getting a signal and put the yellow wire to the wot too.
