Hey i got a question that i could use some help with. I just got a 96 cobra and im making my wish list of parts for it. I have 3.73's in my 5.0 and are happy with the results. but ive heard that they werent as effective on the 4.6 cobra motor. so basically i want to know would it be better to run 3.73's or 4.10's on my cobra if i plan to keep it as a daily driver but still be enough to burn an SS

you will be amazed how much better you cobra will find its power band with 4:10's, power wise you are a bit short of messing with the LS1 SS's on freeway speeds, but with some nice tires and better gearing you will give them a good run off the line!!!

go with atleast 4.10s... if you don't drive the car much and plan on staying n/a.. go crazy and get 430s [burnout] [worship] [Big Grin]

OK... it seems like most people are saying that running with 4.10's is the best way to go. Ive also checked allfordmustangs.com and thats the general concensus there too. Now i was wondering though for those of you who added 4.10's what gear and rpms are you at now on the freeway going about 80? because going 80 is fun and i dont wanna put to much stress on the motor. I was also wondering what technical problems you hit with having to reprogram the computer and getting the speedo recalibrated.
