How are these heads I have heard they had a lot problems at first but have fixed them? I seen that summit has a good price on them.
Anyone here running them?

I don't consider them the best on the market as far as performance goes. However, for the price, they can not be beat.
The problems we're still seeing: Leaking stem seals. They use a slightly smaller diameter guide & stock seals....so the seals are sometimes not positiviely controlling oil from getting into the guides. Recently they started using RTV to seal them to the heads which works. The only other option is to install all new guides. I'd definately pull the heads apart & check this on any Patriot 2V head you buy.
The other issues have been resolved. We worked with Patriot early on to resolve the problems so we could use their heads....the price is unbeatable & lots of our customers want ported heads, but are not willing to spend the money typically required.
If you're looking for top-of-the-line performance ported 2V heads, go no further than www.hitechmotorsport.com. Little known, but if you can handle the wait & price you will be rewarded with a VERY good product.
