Got a 98 GT stroked with flat tops that I need tuned. I've had an exhaust leak for over a year and finally fixed it, so its time to get tuned up. Anybody know who is the best, and most thorough(sp??) tuner in the area? I've done pretty much everything I can to do my car to make power, so its left up to the tune to get my last amount of HP out of my setup (with the exception of nitrous), thus Im' looking for a quality job, not someone looking to make a quick buck by tweaking some timing tables for 30 minutes and calling it a day.
Thanks for your suggestions in advance - Ryan

My last tune was from Apex Motorsports and I was happy with that, until I found out that the chip their tuner put into my car was only supported for another 9 months, maybe a year. So I paid all this money for the tune adn the chip and now I have to throw all that stuff away and get a whole new system because no one tunes on autologic chips anymore. Needless to say I have somewhat of a sour taste in my mouth from that experience because if I had known that, I would have opted for a different solution or at least looked into other options.
What tuning platform is Apex using these days? Super Chips Custom Tuning or... ? I just want to make sure whatever platform is used, that the technology will be around for more than 1 year.
Thx again

I would recommend JeffS on this site! He will be tuning my car when it is completed. He has a lot of happy customers around here as well. [ November 01, 2005, 01:53 PM: Message edited by: gtstang03 ]

Well that was under the old Apex stuff, and unfortunately we can't do anything about that. We still do Diablo and SCT. I don't know when you bought your Autologic, but they'd been around for quite sometime & the technology was just getting old, as it always does. Again I'm sorry for the bad taste, but if you give it a shot again, we'll do our best to make it right and if new technology was coming out, keep you informed so that neither of our time was 'wasted'.

BlacksheepMod50,
I apologize for the experience you had with the last owner.
Here is what I am willing to do for you.... I will give you the SCT chip for $50 to make good on what happened to you. SCT Chips normally sell for over $300, so this would be a $250 savings to you. I hate to see a valued Apex customer like yourself turn sour on something I had no control over. This will also help you ease the pain of the spending money for a older chip which is not supported any more. [ November 01, 2005, 02:29 PM: Message edited by: Apexmotorsports ]

Apexmotorsports,
First off I'd like to say thank you for stepping up to the plate with this.
I understand the company is under new management and it means a lot to me to see that you care about your customer's perception of Apex and your customer's satisfaction despite whether or not it was your fault directly. This is something I have struggled to find in the automotive industry as I have been screwed over countless times and thrown away easily over 5K in the past couple years by missleading information, faulty work done by companies that I have fought to get corrected - the list goes on.
This certainly helps restore my opinons of Apex. As I said - I was happy with my previous tune - the quality seemed to be there.. my issue was just a lack of concern for the customer when the Autologic chip was put in my car a mear year or less prior to the technology dropping off the support list.
Thank you for rectifying this - Ryan
