I have a 91 5.0 and it has a slight oil leak, not alot but enough to piss you off. some of the drips come from the oil pan but most of them come from the dust sheild(i think thats what it is). On the oil pan- rear drain plug, only a couple come from there. then from the dust sheild it seems to come from above? like for every 1 on the drain plug theres like 2 to 3 from the dust sheild.

Some of my friends said to tighten up the oil pan bolts, and check the back of the valve covers for slight leaks. Then i thought it might be the rear main seal.. Im not quite sure. Any other suggestions i could do to stop the oil leak?

also there is this low constant chirp when i drive. but when i put the clutch in it stops. could it be the belts? or pullies? or bearings? any suggestions on that would help also. Thanks

It sounds like your throw out bearing might be making that noise. Best thing to do with a leak is to spray all the oil off with brake kleen while the car is up in the air. Than let the car run and trace where the leak is coming from. Might be more than one spot. If your throw out bearing is the cause of the noise than change the rear main seal and install a fel-pro save a seal as well. Since the transmission will be out to change the bearing you can also inspect the back of the oil pan at this time.
