OK, my car was originally an automatic, I dumped the aod and installed a tremec 3550 and some basic mods. As of this weekend the car will have trickflow aluminum heads, tfs intake and crane cam. larger injectors and maf meter also. I hear all this things about computers and some people say some are better than others.
Could anyone please teach me how that goes? Also, if I was going to get a chip, would the type of computer I have matter or will the chip override all that? thanks.
Will it be worth getting a chip with the mods I have? I'm really done with the engine in this car. I plan on working in suspension and looks from now on.
thanks

Your stock computer should work fine as long as the maf is properly calibrated to the injector size.

You may have some idle problems but I am guesing you should be able to sort these out. The car will drive kinda funny for a bit until it "learns" the new mods.

That all being said, you would benefit from getting a custom tune. It will sort out any driveability issues and you should be able to pick up some power in the process.

If you do get a chip down go with an SCT custom chip. There are a few good tuners here on this site that can hook you up [patriot]

It will run great as long as all the sensors are good, fuel pressure's right, timings set, TPS is right, etc.

See you tomorrow Jersey

It will run rich if the computer was originally for an auto application.

If you install a chip, it will not matter as to what computer you have.
