Does anyone have any ideas on restoring these suckers? Hood hinge cups. I'm painting my engine compartment and I don't want to paint over rust and peeling rubber coating. What can I do to make these presentable?? 5.0Resto sells 'em for $125 a pair. I don't think so!

Sandblasting would work wonders OR you could get the hood props similar to what our mustangs have in the hatch area. I will be converting soon seeing how my proprod clip has long since busted off.

Sandblast them, remove all the rubber coating. Get a can of that rubber coating used on tool handles (about a pint) and dip the faces in it. That's what I've done.
