What would cause you have low oil pressure the motor only has 7000 miles on it I just put it in and got it running. At first the pressure was at 50psi at idle now it only goes to 20 at idle what would cause this I changed the oil and filter and it didn’t help any suggestions

Change the oil again. If you've only changed it once after that blown HG, I guarantee there is still oil/water mix in there. Use an engine flush per the directions as well. That HG milkshake will stick to everything, you gotta get it all out.

Ya, lemme know- if it turns out the oil pump went bad due to contaminates, I've got a brand new Ford one here- it's yours if you need it.

You cant lift the motor high enough to remove the pan. The pickup bolts to the oil pump.

lift the motor up and drop the pan down far enough to get your hands/tools into the pan and unbolt the pump/pickup

You say it starts out at 50 PSI. And then declines to 20 PSI. That happens when the oil gets hot. Mine is around the same. Hot at an idel. If I give it some gas it goes up. I would say thats the norm. Every car is different. If your still in the OK Zone your fine.

mine was always in the normal zone before I put on my oil press gauge, now it reads like 50+ when cold, and 25 when crusin while warmed up

But if it didnt do it at first, and now it does I would bet something isnt right.

You all do know that a oil pressure gauge (stock) will stay in the normal zone with 15psi of oil pressure. It doesn't take much.

I figured it would be in the normal range with a low pressure, for instance mine always read between the a and l in normal
