that looks like that stupid blocker ring i broke in one of my trannys before. It would let the shifter bounce up and down between 3rd and 4th.....real cool! 25cent part killing my tranny!~

I think it came from the top part of the tranny, where the shift rod is. I cant figure out how it goes in, but there is a slot the it fits in perfct.

if you go on google.com you can do a search for a PDF file of the T5 Rebuild. It shows all parts included and where they go for a build/rebuild. Check it out, I'm sure you'll find it.

Do a search in the general talk forum.
I needed on a while back and Jim hooked it up with a link.
It was about a month ago.

Thanks FOSTANG. The part is the interlock plate. Should I just replace it and the shift fork, or rebuild it too?

The thing that broke is the part that the rail and the forks fit in to line everything up. I am getting a complete top part with new rail and forks...hopefully that fixes it. I am also putting a steel bearing retainer on.
