I need to get the stock rubber bushings out of my tranny crossmember, any tips ?

a messy way is to burn them w/ a torch and let 'em melt out.
another way is soak the hell out them w/ penetrating oil, and use a socket smaller than the opening, and drive them w/ a hammer

Are you talking about the bushings that mount the tranny crossmember to the body? If so you can usually pull them out by hand or at the very least a flat blade screw driver will pop them out.

Yeah, I was talking about the ones that mount the crossmember to the body. I just looked at it today, didn't wrench on it yet. Hopefully just a screwdriver works, but I'll have the air chisel handy in case. Thanks.

Yeah forget the air chistle...you'll do more damage than good with that. They always pull out easily when I've changed them
