went out to race tonight...and didnt grab any traction until 3rd gear....
rear end swingin like a bitch!! almost hit a couple cars cause it was swingin so bad.
WHAT can I do to stop this?? give me info guys!

Well of course when you aren't racing. Get some better control arms that are adjustable and some adjustable drag shocks. Play with it a on and throw drag radials on it, you would be suprised on how well you can get them to stick. what size back tires are you running now?

i was pretty surprised though, when i went against u blue, my car hooked up well. then against the ss i was slippin and sliding. what do you launch at?

I couldnt get it to stick launching at anything over like 2k, my shit was all over the place on the first run, and after that it grabbed decently, but was still spinning through second ![[Frown]](frown.gif)

i raced a riced out hatchback civic, and i spun in 1st, slidding in 2nd, and still sliding in 3rd. it was ALL bad, my friend said i missed his car by 2ft!
Damn, time to get some DR's and some Upper and lower CA's.
i am only runnin the stock 245's in the rear

When you do your upper/lowers get your torque boxes welded and definitely get some subframes... they make a huge difference

Get some good LCA's and it will keep your car straight. For drag racing i recomend Megabite Jr. LCAs they hook hard and keep you straight. Id also get some good drag springs and adjustable shocks struts.

If you have room on the inside, you can get stockton wheel in stockton to widen them. They are pretty cheap. My switch for 245s to 285s non Drag Raidial is a big difference and with the upper and lower control arms. I am just going to switch to slicks at the track. hehe

definitely do some mm stuff... real good shit, i still spin them a little but i got stock 245's in the rear but the car doesnt slide just hooks straight

315 nittos fit on a 9inch rim, but i would stick with a 275. Alot of unsprung weight will slow you down unless you have alot of power. I went to a larger tire and it killed my rev, so i went back down to a 265.

I don't know how much stockton wheel charges for that but I know they are cheap. I had to have my Steeda Ultra Lite IIs machined on the mounting pad 1/4" to eliminate a rub on my front fender. They only charge $50 for both rims to be machined on their lathe.
