The only reason i wouldnt is because i'd rather have a ford gearset to make sure they dont whine. Are you scared to go up to a 4.10?

Im alittle hesitant about getting 4.10, only because its crap on the highway.... but i do rarely drive the car.. im leaning towards 4.10 though, I was just curious about the 3.90's if its even worth getting..

4.10s for racing
3.73s for driving and sometimes racing.

Does nyone know how many teeth the 3.90 ring and pinion have? This one guy is trying to sell me some 3.90's for $75 but I counted 41 teeth on the ring. I didn't get a chance to count the pinion. [Confused]

I've got 4.10s and a 5 speed and love em. They are a pain on the highway, but i rarely drive on the highway and can deal with it revving at 3k when i'm doing 85. Its not that bad...Dont fear the gear

using a 3:55 as a baseline here is what to expect

from a 3:55 to a 3:73 you will have 200rpm differnece

from 3:55 to a 3:90 you will have a 300rpm difference

from a 3:55 to a 4:10 you will see a 400 rpm difference

thats is at speed on the freeway

no way...but i've regretted only going 3.73's before.

mileage isn't that much worse from 3.73 to 4.10

from 2.73 to 4.10 yes....but if your going to do a gear swap...the little bit more you lose is well worth it.

you tach about 3 grand 65-70

my old notch went 13.20's w/ 4.10's , exhaust & et streets....thats it....12.50's on the bottle

I had 4.10's in my car with 255/60/15's and t-z and drove it on the freeway all the time.
Loved them for what I was doing.
