Topic: where to put the 4 pins on a fox (hood)???

i need help making hood pins on my 50 (fox), i already made the pins and holes for the front of the hood now i need to make them 4 the back. where do i make the holes on the frame?? make the hood a lift off! thanks

I'm not sure but I thought only the hoods that cover the cowl need four pins and the other ones just bolt to the hinges...
You're probably goin to need to make your own brackets or maybe try putting the ins on the strut towers....Just an idea...

All I did was get some L-brackets from Home Depot and drill the holes. Here are some pics:
I did the same thing for the other side and for the fronts, I just screwed the pins onto the old hood bumpers. Like so:
It was a crap load cheaper than $75 and there are no welds to worry about. And my hood isn't an extended cowl either. It's just a Harwood pin-on 3" cowl but its too thin to try and screw the hinges onto so I made this. [ October 23, 2004, 10:20 PM: Message edited by: The Nick ]
