Ok so I am going to have to buy a taller hood for my '90 fox body since I am going with a carb set up. I'll be running vert motor mounts, stock height block, edelbrock Torker 2 intake and a holley 4150 carb. Anyone with this type of combo got an idea of what type of cowl hood height I'll need? Thanks for any input.

should clear a stock hood with that combo with no problem so any cowl hood will work.

Agree...Stock carb setups have about 2" of egr plate, heat sheilds, gaskets, etc. Eliminating the smog stuff gives you plenty of clearance for a taller manifold.

Interesting, I guess I just assumed that going with a carb set up would require a taller than stock hood. If it clears with the stock hood I won't bother to change it.

Thanks for the offer bud, I already have the intake and I am going to go with a carb blueprinted, flowed, and with proper floats for road racing by The Carb Shop down south. [patriot]
