I took my father in law for a ride in my Cobra and was bangin gears and when I went into third gear it revved but I didnt go anywhere then it grabbed and picked back up. I think I need a new clutch. But now when I take off in first I feel like a slip then a slip in the clutch pedal and then it goes. What is the slip/vibration I am feeling in the clutch pedal? Thanks to all replies!

Take it on the freeway and when it's in fifth, punch it. Then you'll know if you need a new clutch

I tried the 4th and 5th gear trick and my clutch does not slip. WTH is going on? Does it mean that my clucth is just showing the first signs of needing replacement or is something else happening to my car? Thanks!

Maybe the clutch cable/quadrant needs to be changed or is damaged from "bangin gears"?

Does it slip or does it feel like it's getting stuck for a sec.?

Almost sounds like bad CV joints on a front wheel car, that click noise.

Well your first problem is that it's a Ford and not a Chevy....Just kidding. I say replace your clutch with a nice aftermarket one and replace the clutch cable/quadrant w. an aftermarket adjustable one.

have you tried hitting the pedal to the floor, firmly pulling up on it, then hitting it to the floor again?
