OK I was in reno over the weekend, battery died and this isn't the first time. I have too many electronics on the stock unit. Well I was in Reno so I stoped in at Summit pick up the power master one wire set-up. I hooked up the one wire and thought maybe I had to do that splice on to the #1 pole. Well nothing is happening. Nothing coming out of the hunk of junk.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there some Trick they don't explain in the instructions? Please somebody help me out a little.

did you hook up the two wire (red&white)prong on its side.if you did`nt,it will only charge at high RPM.the alt.has a rubber plug, remove it and plug in the two wire plug.red wire goes back to power wire, white wire goes to posite only when key is on.

is there suppose to be a plug that comes with the kit? Or are you saying to splice them in to the alternator? I see there is the two prongs under the rubber plug. All it says is to connect the Green and red wire to the #1/closes to the Main terminal. It didn't say anything about any other things.

The alternator never died it just doesn't produce the power to run everything efficently. It stays on the first bar right above red all the time at night. I have two fuel pumps, 5 guages, electric fan, stereo, ignition stuff, all running on the stock set-up.

http://www.picocanada.com/catalogue/8612-8618.html

My stock alternator gave out since i was running, 1800+ watt audio system, 4 screen dvd system, electric fan, guages etc

I went to a speed shop and got a PowerMaster, it didnt do anything, no power, so i searched and replaced the FUSIBLE LINK wire (green wire right next to where the ignition coil plug wire goes to *driver side fender*) And the powermaster started working..

But that was just a thought..

As for the PowerMaster, you dont have to run the green wire to any of the clips on the powermaster.. All you need to do is run the "CHARGE WIRE" from the back of the alternator to the postitive battery..
