Is there still a function for this piece now that I am going to be running an off road x-pipe. Can I just cap both ends now without affecting anything but smog issues/not gonna pass anyways? The smog pump is still hooked up to everything else though. I want to avoid just simply ditching all of my smog equipment, just want to minus that one piece if possible. Any suggestions? BTW:the car has a few mods such as gt-40 h/c/i [burnout] [burnout] [burnout]

Leave it on. It's not hurting power at all. By capping it off I believe you will damage your smog pump/system.

I would personally leave it on since you have to re-attach it for smog anyway. You won't gain anything noticable.
