I have 92 gt 5spd w/ 121k. When I press my brake pedal I hear air. When you press on it goes "shhhhhhhhhhhhh" like Darth Vader breathing or something?? [Confused] Can someone tell me what is wrong??? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks,

There is a vaccum switch mounted on your brake pedal. Look under your dash; directly in front of the pedal....that's where the switch is mounted. It's got a leak in either the switch or the vac line. There's your problem.

As a double check...if you want to check your brake booster, lightly depress the brake pedal, then start the car. If the pedal goes to the floor once the car is running, your booster is fine. [Smile]
