no the TFI module is different for a 87-93 mustang, depending if you have an automatic or a manual transmission

Where are you getting your tech advise from?...The ignition modules are the same on a manual to an automatic...

umm why dont you call a ford parts store, and ask them for sure, since you both are wrong
then you can apologize to him

i did the work for you

please dont post in the tech section if you have no idea what your posting about. thanks
I wasn't a 100% sure, but before I posted I called my local parts store(Allied Auto in Fremont), which carry Motorcraft, and they checked every Mustang from 87-93 and they only had one listing...
I also checked www.autozone.com and they also have only ONE listing..
www.performancedistributors.com only list ONE module for the 5.0, actually 2, but the other one is for a 94-95...
I did find that www.cskauto.com (Kragen) listed one for an auto and one for a manual...
50#4~I bet there is a slight difference as far as what octane bar they are set at, but I doubt it makes any difference...Essentially they're the same...If you know more specifically the difference maybe you could teach us all a few things instead of calling fellow members "retards"....

first off evan... your an idiot
second of all where in my post did it ever say that they were not interchangeable.... (scroll up)
oh wait it never did. so ya, it was just a comment that stated that there is a difference of some sort. but you and all these people here KNOW everything and insisted that there was no difference... so i proved you wrong. simple as that, what is the difference, i have no idea. so you can eat a **** B****

Calm down guys!...Forget about the "he said she said"...
The TFI module is offered by some parts stores in auto and manual, BUT stoauto has proven that either one will work fine...
As far as the exact differences nobody seems to know...

I don't want to piss anybody off, but I thought ALL distributor mounted TFI modules were "recalled": http://www.dca.ca.gov/ced/recall_tips.htm Last I heard the "fix" was to remote mount the module like the 94-95's. Anyone with firsthand knowledge please post...
