i finally found my problem today. i changed my plugs from autolite 24's that are tapered and have no gasket and are about an inch too short to autolite 3429's and my car runs hella better.i've been missing so much power.

what heads? autolite 24's are perfect for stock heads, either those or 25's...

Back in the day I had a set of Edelbrock heads on my stang and I had the same problem.I was putting Autolite 24's in it when I should have been using 3924's.When I put the correct plug in there was a bigtime difference in power.

Was it posting here that help you find that problem?...
I'm happy for you that it is only the plugs...It's the opposite for me, I find coolant leaks that turn into blown head gaskets....
