Alright guys/gals, I'm pissed. Got the car dyno'd at Apex yesterday, and I don't have enough fuel past 5200rpms. Currently the car has a high pressure 255 in tank, 42s stock lines, 95 rails and AFPR. Last year we tuned it with the T-rex inline with all the same, but with the 3.33n now it has the 2.95 ( T-rex was crappy and blew HGs). Last year not enough spark, this year not enough fuel. Anyhow, I'm going back in June, but I want the fuel situation fixed, so I'm planning on running a -8an feed with a high pressure 255 inline along with what I already have, and leaving the return stock. Byron set the air/fuel to 11.7, but at 5200 (where I shift) it was leaning out to like 13 something. It put 423/438 to the tires at 5200, and I'm planning on spinning it to 6500. You think the -8an line with a 255 inline will be enough? Thanks -Rob [ March 21, 2004, 05:28 PM: Message edited by: 5LVENOM ]

So whats the reason, why are you not running a t-rex? Just don't like the noise? You might be ok with the larger feed and you might not. Just depends. Vince at Apex ran 450 to the motor with the same -8 feed and 255lph pump. But that was to the motor not to the wheels. You can either try that setup and run the risk of leaning out a little further up or you can just leave the factory feed alone and run a t-rex.

Also I wouldn't bother trying to run a mustangs valve train to 6500 it will float. You can only run it up that high if you convert to a solid roller set up

I had a T-rex inline originally, but they are CRAP IMO. I want to absolutely fix my fuel issues, don't want to lean out AT ALL. If I have to run an Aeromotive and new feed and return lines, I will, but I was hoping an inline 255 (walbro) with a bigger feed would solve this.
BTW, I've replaced the valve springs with some cranes, it'll take 7500 if I want but my heads are still very limited, as well as the cam. The pushrods are TFS one piece as well. [ March 21, 2004, 05:48 PM: Message edited by: 5LVENOM ]

Rob, I recently installed a budget fuel system in my car. 1-255 in-tank pump 1-255 in-line pump -6AN feed/return High-flow fuel filter Pro-M rails Areomotive regulator
& modified stock pickup, & modified all other fittings to ensure the most restrictive points were larger then .250 inch. The stock setup (even the SN95s) have several restrictions of less then .200 inch.
255lph is enough fuel for 550+RWHP without restrictions.
