So I've got 4 T-5s sitting in my garage awaiting rebuilds. 2 Have tags, 2 don't. I've figured out what the 2 with tags are, but its the other 2 that have me wondering. Anyway, here goes
#1 with tag is from an 87 5.0 and has "Basic 1A" cast into the upper left hand side of the main housing.
#2 with tag is from a 91 5.0 and has "Basic 2A" cast into the same place.
#3 and 4 have "Basic 1A" and "Basic 2" respectively.
They seem to correspond with the years, but does anybody know off hand what this 'Basic 1A, 2A' stuff is? If anybody happens to have a T-5 sitting in their garage or something and know what year it's from, could you take a look and see what designation is cast onto the side?
