okay right now, my stang is in the shop.. found a place that is charging me 117$ to change my harmonic balancer...

anyways, i talked to another mustang owner, and i told him my problem. with my car, and he said that i should sell my car. since im changing my harmonic balancer.?? i mean. whats that surpose to mean? is it true?


changing harmonic balancer = sale mustang?

No, don't sell it. The balancers on your year are known to have issues. The seal seperates and you just need to swap in a new one. If you have vibrations right after that than there might be another issue but I doubt thats the case

i changed mine twice already. i have a romac in my room i'm going to put on for the hell of it.

got the harmonic balancer at Vic Habbard in Hayward for 75$ and the spacer for 15$

$117 [Eek!] OE balancers tend to be iffy on quality. That guy who is telling you to sell your car from that problem is crazy. Did it just come loose? vibrations? Next time, get a Romac/ATI with a ARP bolt and some Loc-tite to keep that from happening again. Some peeps on here would have done it for a fraction of that and some beer LOL.
