I am due for new tire for my 91GT, factory is 225/55/16. Right now I have 225/45/16 which in my opinion is too small & narrow

I would like to get a bit wider (without modifying the wheel wells or loosing the quad shocks)

will i run into fit problems if I go with 245s or 255s and using the stock pony rims how much tire gut will be over the edges?

I run 255's up front and 275's rear, you should be alright with 245's, I think those are the best for a DD [patriot]
